Disneyland/Disneyland Busy if Disney hotel is full

Question
Hello,
I am trying to book a trip to Disneyland Resort April 24th-28th.
There is no availability at the Disneyland Hotel. There is availability everywhere else including the other two Disney Hotels.
I called and spoke to online reservations and he said that if it is booked then it will be busy in the park and said it could still be spring break for some. It seems so late for spring break.
My question is if the Disney Hotel is booked will it be a busy at the park?
Thanks for any help with this.

Answer
Spring break does vary all over the place.  Regardless, April is just a really busy time of year.  The weekdays are better than the weekends.  Expect Friday evening and Sundays to be the busiest due to Southern california annual passholders.    My guess is it will be busy but manageable.  Just try to get to the most popular rides first thing, use fast passes, and make reservations for dinner and World of Color if possible.   Thanks

Experience

I have been going to Disneyland on a regular basis since I was a child. Growing up in southern California, it was a real tradition for our family to go as well as take all of our relatives to Disneyland. Recently, when my daughter was three and my son 10 months old, my husband and I started the tradition of getting annual passes and going to Disneyland multiple times a year. We average about 12 - 20 times a year and we have been doing this since 2003. This year we are going to Disney World to learn more about those parks. I have been reading books about Disneyland and Walt Disney including the 50th anniversary book and my daughter and I love the Hidden Mickeys book and I also read Mouse Tales which was very interesting indeed. I would love to share my love of Disneyland with families that are coming for the first time. There is nothing better than the joy on a child's face when they see their favorite character for the first time.
