I have completed my MBA in the month of May, 2003 with specializing in Marketing and Advertising. And I have experience of around 6years. I want to study further whish can enhance my career and my job, but not as a full time, rather through distance learning. I am a Arts graduate. Please suggest me with some relevant courses(Any Field).

Answer Hello Rashmi,
Thank you for asking a question. You have a masters' degree, which gives you a few options. You can return to school for a doctorate, a DBA, or simply additional post graduate courses. A PhD or Doctor of Philosophy and a DBA or Doctor of Business Administration are recognized as terminal degrees. I am attending Northcentral University where I am working on a PhD. Northcentral is 100% distance learning. Here is a link to their website to the page outlining the difference between a PhD and a DBA: http://www.ncu.edu/academics/graduate/choose_dba-phd.aspx
If "Dr." in front of your name is not particularly what you want, select some post graduate courses that appeal to you. Perhaps you are also interested in finance or accounting. Of course, you could also begin work on another undergrad degree. However, for career advancement I recommend a terminal degree.
Consider if you want to stay in your current field or not. Some colleges permit instructors to have masters' degrees, but many require a terminal degree.
I know of students with Marketing degrees that have gone back to school to study e-commerce. This is one of the last great wide open fields for ad men and women. The rules are not yet set so if you are creative this would be a great opportunity for you.
