Question Hi! I am going to be taking the family on a weeklong vacation to DC. Do you have any tips on best ways to make the trip fun for the family? Obviously we will hit the monuments and some of the museums, but do you have any recommendations on fun things to do?
Answer Hello Malcolm,
Sure if you are coming to Washington DC there are thousands of things to do and see. What you want to see and do really depends on your interest. If your are into space I would for sure take them to the Air and space museum.
Another nice thing to do is the National zoo to see the Panda where you get something to eat. Also their is the new, newsuem, museum which I have heard is a fantastic place to go and learn all about the news. You've got too the international spy museum where you can learn about the world of spies.
A little south of the city you could go to Alexandria, VA on the metro for a taste of old town shopping or go to Mount Vernon to see where George Washington and Martha Washington once lived and now rest in peace.
So as you can see Washington DC and it surrounding area has a lot to offer, no matter where you go.
