Question
I want to know if Washington D.C. is the capital of District Of Columbia? I know of someone that keeps stating District of Columbia is a state and Washington D.C. is the capital. Just want to know if I am right or wrong. Thanks Martha

Answer
Washington DC is NOT a state. It has no voting rights in congress.  It is the capitol of the the United States.  I am sorry to say after looking on the internet, I was unsuccessfully able to find any websites that would better define this answer for you.  I hope that I have answered your question.

Hi everyone, let me introduce myself, my name is Stephen Hosmer. Many people call me Mr. Washington DC for termoudous knowledge I have of the city of Washington DC. My top knowledge of all is the metro system, which I have been riding now for nearly 25 years every weekend to all the major attractions in Washington DC. I have a great wealth knowledge of all the cities great museums and monuments, annual and seasonal events, newly openly museums and short term exhibitions, bookstores and libraries, sports events, parks and recreational area's, local tours (your might want to go on) malls and shopping centers and places off the beaten path which you might be looking for, while you'll visiting Washington DC. I also know a lot about places to eat in Washington DC, from the local fast food McDonalds to the very fancy sit down evening out with your family of four. I also have a great wealth of knowledge of where to get government historical related questions answered. So if you post an all-expert question to me I will try to give you a honest, fast, correct answer all the time.
