Divorce Issues - changing divorce papers

Expert: Kay Lewis - 6/23/2009

Question
my ex wife and i had a verbal agreement and she did not hold up her end of it. we have in the divorce agreement something totally different and i was stupid enough not to read it all the way through. because of this I am now in very bad shape financially. is there any way that you know of that I can go back and have the divorce papers changed legally.

Answer
As stated in my profile, I am not a lawyer.  I only consult on relationship issues that result from divorce.  For an ACCURATE answer consult a LOCAL attorney.  Of course, your divorce lawyer can help you request to have your financial arrangement reconsidered.  There must be some kind of financial hardship accommodation in your state.
