Divorce Issues - in-laws

Expert: Kay Lewis - 7/17/2009

Question
When you get a divorce are your inlaws and stepchildren considered your ex inlaws and ex stepchilldren? I mean are you still suppose to call them that?

Answer
For the most part, call them by their name.  You don't have to refer to them as exinlaws or exstepchildren unless you are explaining their relation to you to someone you plan to marry or someone else who NEEDS to know.  If you spend much time with the children, then the important people in your life will want to know who they are.  Other than that, don't worry about it.
