Question I think my husband is considering leaving me. Can he file for divorce without telling me? How can I find out if he's already filed?
Answer Dear Diana,
Thank you for your patience. I had informed Allexperts that I would not able to answer questions for the last 5 days. Sorry!
The answer is yes, he can file for divorce. When a spouse files for divorce a notice is sent to you informing you that your spouse has filed for divorce. He won't be able to obtain the divorce without your knowledge (unless he states he cannot find you and even then it's difficult to obtain a divorce).
You may be able to contact your local court house to see if he has filed.
