Question
Can you get a divorce in Florida if you are pregnant. I only have about 12 weeks left, so I can wait if need be. I just want to get to get the ball rolling.

Thank you.
Jamie

Answer
Hi Jamie~

In some states you can't while pregnant.  But in all states you may file the divorce paperwork, so that it'll be all filed and then you can get the divorce finalized after you have the baby.  The place to contact and find out what your state laws are; would be the circuit clerk of the court, in the county in which you reside.  They will be able to tell you for sure.  But you can go ahead and file for divorce and get the ball rolling.

If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.
