Dodge - 93 dodge w150

Expert: Ryan Van Leuven - 3/29/2009

Question
Hi, I have a 93 dodge w 150 w/ 318 auto w/ 135,000 miles on it. my problem is that when I run it about 15- 20 miles it just quits running. I've had to a shop where they could not recreate the problem. after it sits for about 2 hours it starts right up and runs for about 15-20 miles again before quitting. I really don't want to start throwing parts at it because it gets very expensive. Any ideas?

Answer
I have seen a problem like this before, but for the life of me cannot remember the cause. I am pretty sure though it had something to do with the fuel pump getting hot.

I would try and post this on one of the Dodge forums and see if someone has had a similar problem.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help.
