Dodge - brake lights

Expert: ben daniels - 10/24/2006

Question
my brake lights are staying on,is there a quick fix or how do i fix it.

Answer
the brake light sensor under the pedal may be stuck so check that the sensor may also be on the powerboost brake asistor under the hood also check that if it is a sensor under the hood un plug it and jump the wires if your brakes stay on your vehicle proably needs a new sensor.
if the sensor is under the pedal it can just stick if you pull it back out your brake lights should work properly if not it shouldnt be a verry expensive fix.
also try pulling your brake pedal up this may also be the problem if so you may be looking at a brake booster     (or powerboost) if none of this works i would seek help els where.
