Dodge Repair - 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan Stalling

Expert: Pete Lacey - 12/18/2004

Question
Hi Pete,

My husband and I purchased a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan from a used dealer and the day we picked it up we drove it and when we came to a stop it would stall and you wouldn't even know til you look and see the oil light was on.  We took it back they had the van for 4 days when it was ready they said they replaced the TPS module and they had driven it and it wasn't stalling.  We went to get the truck the first night upon stopping it would make a putter feeling as if it were going to stall but hadn't the next day husband drove to work n back and it had stalled 3 times again.  Dealer says bring it back on Monday and they will try to find the problem yet again.  After reading the questions n feedback thought i would ask you what you thoughts were.

Also regarding the drivers power window...it was making an aweful noise the guy said the rubber wheels had to be replaced they were dry..well guess what picked up the van and it's still doing it.

any guidance would be greatly appreciated... did we get a lemon?

Margaret
