Dodge Repair - 2002 dodge grand caravan oil pump replacement

Question Hello, my brother-in-law is trying to replace the oil pump. He said he pulled the oil pan but did not see the oil pump. Is this a simple procedure?
Answer REMOVAL
The oil pump is contained within the timing chain cover housing (OIL PUMP).
Remove oil pan. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/LUBRICATION/OIL PAN - REMOVAL)
Remove the timing chain cover. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT / CHAIN COVER(S) - REMOVAL)
Disassemble oil pump from timing chain cover. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/LUBRICATION/OIL PUMP - DISASSEMBLY)
Clean and Inspect oil pump components. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/LUBRICATION/OIL PUMP - CLEANING) (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/LUBRICATION/OIL PUMP - INSPECTION
