How do I change the battery on my 2001 Dodge Intrepid?

Answer
REMOVAL
Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right.
Verify that the ignition switch and all accessories are OFF.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post (Negative Battery Cable Remote Terminal).
Remove air cleaner housing. Refer to Fuel System for service procedure.
Remove battery splash shield. Refer to Body for service procedure.
Remove two short bolts to battery hold down.
Slide battery rearward to disconnect the negative and positive battery terminals from battery.
Slide battery toward rear of vehicle and lift out of the engine compartment.
Remove battery from vehicle.
