Question QUESTION: Hi Kevin,
I have a 2004 Dodge Durango Limited 5.7 Hemi, Recently I disconnected the "negative" terminal on the battery to check fuses and when I connected the battery back my car didn't recognize: the Radio, the Powered door lock and the Key FOB, also the Air Bag light by the passenger is off but the one located on the dashboard remains on.
I drove it to an Advanced Auto to get a diagnostic and the rep. didn't see any codes come up. He mentioned this might be a cause of the anti-theft feature newer cars have. Anything I can do to reboot it?
ANSWER: the scanner at advanced auto wont work on the items u listed above it will only work for a check engine light.
disconnect the battery again and touch the + and - together for 30 seconds then reattach both cables see what U have then.

QUESTION: Before trying this just two more questions:
Would this contact between the positive and negative connectors be dangerous?
Have you tried this yourself in the past?
Answer I hope u understand that both cables are off the battery right?
u touch both battery cables disconnected from the battery together.
this will perform a soft reset within the computers.
Yes i do this quite often when some one has put a battery in wrong and caused this.
