Dodge Repair - 2005 Stratus 2.4L Crankshaft Position Sensor

Expert: Kevin - 6/27/2009

Question
Where is the crankshaft position sensor located on the 2005 Dodge Stratus 2.4L DOHC? I see only one electrical wire going to the back of the engine block on the driver's side. But that doesn't look like the sensor I purchased.

Answer
REMOVAL - 4 CYLINDER
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the air cleaner box (Air Cleaner Housing), (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL).
Loosen and relocate the starter motor, (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/STARTING/STARTER MOTOR - REMOVAL).
Disconnect the electrical connector (Crankshaft Sensor - 4 Cylinder).
Remove crankshaft sensor bolt.
Remove the crankshaft sensor.
