Dodge Repair - 2005 dodge grand caravan abs light

Expert: Kevin - 9/8/2009

Question
The abs light on my 2005 dodge grand caravan, with white dials, does not work at all. Dealer says the abs system is ok, it is a burnt out light, but it cannot be replaced, it needs a complete instrument circuit board, at about 600CAD. Is there a more reasonable fix for a burnt out bulb? Thanks.

Answer
the bulbs are replaceable

REMOVAL
Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove Over Steering Column Bezel by lifting it straight up with a firm pull.
Remove the four cluster bezel attaching screws.
Tilt the steering column in the full down position.
Pull rearward on the cluster bezel and remove.
Remove the four screws holding instrument cluster to instrument panel.
Rotate top of cluster outward.
Disconnect the cluster harness connector.
Remove instrument cluster from instrument panel.
