Dodge Repair - '91 Caravan SE Transmission

Expert: Pete Lacey - 1/7/2005

Question
Last week I left the lights on and my battery died.  After one day, I jumped the battery and was able to start the van.  Took it for a test drive and noticed the transmission seems to jerk every so often.  Even though it used to get stuck in limp mode before, it never jerked.  Test drove it the following day also and it still jerked.  Why would this problem occur after the battery died?  I think I've had dead batteries on this car twice before and never had a problem with the trans.  Thanks for your help.
