Question Hi I would just like to know where the fuel pump is located and whats the best way to get to it,and to install a new one, Thank You ,I do apreciate your help,have a nice day,Thanks,Ken
Answer Ken,
the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. as far as the best way to replace it.
Start with checking the green wire going to the fuel pump, make sure you are getting 12 volts on it before you replace the pump. if you dont let me know.
next with as little gas in the tank as you can. you want it to ba a light as you can get it. then Remove the two bolts on the tank straps. have a floor jack under the tank and let it come down just enough to reach the pump. Remove the pump and install the new one. Replace the fuel filter and fill it with gas.
Look for leaks and if everything is ok , go buy yourself a beer with the money you saved.
