Dodge Repair - Stalling Issue with dodge daytona 2.5

Expert: Steve Forbes - 10/2/2004

Question
I have 1990 dodge daytona 2.5 that i bought off an older guy for cheap price. The car runs fine till after you drive for while than itll start to feel like it wants to stall. This only happens sometimes, like if i come off the interstate or drive for while itll wnat to stall when i stop. The car has no codes. What could be causing this? Also the oxygen sensor and coolant sensor and thermostat were replaced as were the oil filter fuel and air filters. Still puzzled by this as the car doesnt eat gas or anything it just doesnt want to go after a while. any suggestions?

Answer
You may want to replace the distribtor pickup plate. this is the part that takes the place of the old points system. it is located under the rotor in the distribtor, this will give you the same problem and dodge has had a lot of trouble with them.
