Dodge Repair - power window problem

Follow-Ups to Answer from Expert Steve Forbes

Just an addition.

I also have a 91 Dodge Dynasty. It also has these cables that Dave was talking about. It seems all 91 Dynastys' came with them, and the cables like to snap. Both of my front windows did not work because these cables both snapped.

Upon some research I have found that Dodge tried these cable assemblies out on the 91 92 93 Chrysler Imperial, Chrysler New Yorkers and Dodge Dysnasty.

Dave - I have had to go to eBay and by the whole regulator, motor and cable in one. I COULD NOT just find the cables. Even Dodge dealers do not carry them. Dealers wanted $400 for the whole assembly. I was thinking about using bike breaking cable but thought against it. If you get lucky, someone on eBay may carry the whole assembly for around $60. That is how much I paid for each assembly. There are many out there, so if you can't find them at that price just wait a week or two. At this moment I see about 3 on eBay that are priced there, and then 20 of them are $180 to $199;
