Dodge Repair - oil indicator flickers

Question
1992 dodge shadow, 2.2 litre engine

when the car has been running for 10 minutes or so indrive under torque, coming to a stop i notice the oil indicator light flickers.  then as the rpm and torque is reapplied, the light goes out.
what is the problem?

when was the last time the oil was changed and the filter if it was have the idile controll senser changed .  does not sound like a bad oil pump . but i would have that checked out to just to be safe . good luck to u hun and u have a pretty name pete
