Question my chocolate lab had her pups 9 wks ago. she was fine until a week ago. 6 of the 8 pups have gone to new homes. she is acting very anxious and isnt listening to us much, and has become a little destructive, which she never has been before. is this normal for a mom dog to behave? is it possible she is upset?
Answer Hi Jenni
Each female can react different once they've had pups. Sounds like she's having separation issues, with nothing much to do.
I would start with giving her more exercise, walk, throw the ball, get her out and about and get her good and tired. Also try giving her some Vitamin B, that helps with anxiety and "nerves".
