Question
Hello, I have a great dane/black lab mix I found at the dog pound as a puppy 9 mos old.  He is probably comming up on 2 years old.  He's tall and may need to loose a few pounds but healthy/playful.  I want him to have really good dog food and moved from Iams large breed to these Evo chunks.  His stools started being dryer/harder and he seem like he was constipated.  Now his stools are occasionally diarhea.  Is this food hard to tolerate?  Is the Evo puppy food more appropriate for a couple more months?  His birthday is supposedly in OCT. I saw an article that stated Evo puppy should be used for 1st 2 years with large breeds.  Confused about dog food!  Can you help?

Answer
Hi - The Innova Puppy would be a good choice for him mixed with the Innova EVO -  So you will be buying 2 kinds of dog food and mixing.
Also, add some pure canned pumpkin to his food 1 x per day - the No added sugar kind - just 1 tablespoon per day -
Also, you can do the Canned Evo dog food - 2-3 Tablespoons per day on top of ONE of his meals - he should be eating 2 times per day at this age of 9 months.

The NuVET wafer supplement will be very helpful for his Health and Digestion.... Great vitamin - not sold in stores ( sold thru some breeders and HOLISTIC vet offices)
see here : I can refer you to the manufacturer with this referral code 81098:
