Expert: Marie - Ask the Pet Nurse - pet food recipes - 6/4/2009

Question
Hi Marie, when training my pet (10 weeks about 4.8 lbs.), is there a certain time
when I can stop giving hi food and or drink to lower the risk of him peeing or
defecating in his crate?

Answer
Hello Dae, Well this is hard because the pup is only 10 weeks old.
The odds are that he can't HOLD IT for more than 5-6 hrs at a time.
You can feed 3-4 x per day - small amounts and stop the last feeding around 6 pm.
Also, if the house is comfortable you can take UP the water at 7 pm.
If your home is very warm, don't take Up the water...

Make sure your new baby is on the NuVET powder - Natural supplement - to aide in Health, Growth and protects knees, legs, hips and joints.
NuVET is not sold in stores: go here to order:
All you need is 1/2 a teaspoon per day mixed into some WET food-
Try the Innova PUPPY canned food or Wellness Puppy canned food -
JUST 2 teaspoons of the canned food to 1/2 of the NuVET Powder - only 1 x per day.....  Call 1-800-474-7044  ( tell them Pet nurse Marie Peppers sent you)    http://www.nuvet.com/81098
