Question what age do you start Grooming or cutting your Maltese/shitzu dog
Answer there is no exact age that is set. As a groomer myself, I always recommend going to the groomshop for just a bath and a toenail trim, brush out, etc..(no haircut) at least once just to get used to the atmosphere. The sooner the better. And its entirely up to you when you decide to get the first haircut. Make sure you are doing lots of maintenance at home. use a metal comb and a slicker brush. Play with your dogs toenails so he gets used to having them touched so toenail clipping becomes much easier. have fun!
