Expert: Penny DiLoreto Date: 3/21/2008 Subject: coat discoloured from crate
Question Hope you can help, I have a white English bull terrier who is 9 months old, sine coming home at 6 weeks he has used a crate as his bed. Recently his coat is very dirty and 'silver' from his crate. I am unsure what products to use to stop this occurring. 'Ralph' looks like a silver fox now!! hope you can give some advice, Many thanks.
Answer Hi Eileen, Without seeing your dog, or the crate, I can not be sure what is going on. I can only assume that the metal on your crate might be oxidation. Oxidation is a process, like rus,t that tarnishes some metal surfaces.
I suggest that you purchase a new crate, or if the crate is new, to return it to he place you purchased it for a refund.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity of assisting you. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Penny D.
