Question my question is. I have a white long hair chihuahua but his only 6 months and
I wanted to do some hairstyles but I haven't found any over the Internet. And
here is the question!! I want to cut his hair like a Chinese crest but I am
scared that I will damage his hair or it won't look right!! Please advise me.

Answer Hello Robert. A chinese Crest has NO hair on the body. To shave your Cihuahua as short as possible, is not reccomended, because you can cause skin irritations, clipper burn, and the potential of damaging the coat. I would reccomend leaving the coat long, but if you are wanting it short for some funky hairstyles, go talk to your local groomer and they should be able to help you come up with some funky styles. Chihuahuas hair usually does grow back (I haven't even seen a case where it hasn't), so to try some new funky styles is up to you, and if it doesn't look good, it will (well should) grow back!! I find long hair chihuahuas are kind of difficult to try new styles with, but depending on your style, you could try a lion clip (looks really cute on poms), where they shave the body and leave a big full mane, and a tuff at the end of the tail! hopefully this will help you some, but I have a really hard time reccomending haircuts without seeing the dog.
