Question
I had my Sheltie's hair cut in August of 2006. The groomer shaved him as short as it can go.(much shorter than I wanted!) It has still not grown back at all. Only in spots on his under side. His sides and back remain totally shaved. Will it ever grow back? His hair also feels rough. Anything I can do?

Answer
I would think that if it were going to grow back it would have by now.  I've never heard of a dogs hair not growing back after shaving unless there was some type of severe matting that damaged the skin or infections.  I would have him checked by the vet if you already haven't.  I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help, I hope his hair starts growing back.
