Subject: hey i have some questions about grooming

Question
1. can i use a slicker brush on a husky german shepherd and a golden retriver

2. why do i still have to brush my shorthaired dog?

Answer
Yes, you can use a slicker on all of them but I would also use a furminator or shedding blade on them.  If your golden has long hair you should also use comb.  You have to brush them to keep their skin stimulated and get rid of the shedding excess fur.  To keep their coat and skin healthy they must be brushed or their skin can't breath and they will look like they're molting.
