Question
i have a yorkie and even several hours after a bath he has this terrible smell to him.    what causes this

Answer
He may have a skin infection.  Dog will never smell 100 percent fresh and clean because they're dogs but if he really has a "terrible" smell that soon after a bath I would expect there to be some underlying condition that your vet needs to check into.
