Dog Training/Rescue with Nightmares

My rescue jack Russell has vicious nightmares. He wakes up screaming and shaking, he has woken up so scared that he has tried to hide under the bed and run into the closets. I started giving him short, back and ear massages and whispering to him. He now sleeps through most nights without fear or terror.

The little massages calm him down, give him security and extra love. It's better than drugs or calming agents. He sleeps better, is calmer and more happy.
