Subject: Stoping my dog eating my cat's food

Question
Hey, i have 2 cats and a puppy, i have a problem, i feed my dog and cat's at the same times throw the day and feed them in different rooms. My cats are picky and don't tend to eat there food strait away. Cos the cats don't eat there food the puppy is strait for there food as soon as no one is looking. Cos my cats are picky i don't want to pick there food up as i don't want the cats to end up starving. Plz is there anything i can do to stop this from happening?

Answer
Cat food can actually damage a dog's liver so you do want to stop this-because cats are climbers and dogs aren't often the best solution is to put the food up high where the puppy can't reach it,but the cats know where it is,like on top of a book shelf or a scratching post ect

Also when the puppy goes to eat the cat's  food make a loud noise and say 'leave it' There isn't anything you can spray on the food, because then the cats won't eat it either
