Question hi the dog i have gotten from craig's list ended up pregnant b4 i got her and ended up with 6 beautiful pups and i needed some advice when they should see a vet for the deworming or if there is anything else they would need so i can give them forever homes all this was unexpected but sooo far mamas great shes still my baby and very healthy but i just need to know when i can get them shots and so forth so they wont die when given to another home that would hurt me sooo bad as i also helped feed them plz any advice
Answer Hi,
At two weeks they should see a vet and be wormed. At four weeks they should be started (not completely) on some solid food. I get carnation evaporated milk (not condensed) and baby rice cereal. Add a can of water to a can of milk and then add some cereal; Mom can have what the pups don't finish. At six weeks they should get their first puppy shots and be wormed again.
