Question Our westie insists on pooping and peeing out on our wood deck or on the stone walkway. We have tried to no avail to get her to go down the stairs from the deck (she sleeps on the upstairs deck because she feels safer up there than in our 1 1/2 acre yard. How can we get her to poop in the grass? many thanks!
Answer Try taking her for walks and play with her in some open fields until she goes to the bathroom. This will take awhile. When she does go give her a treat and a lot of praise Do this everyday until she gets used to the grass. Take her out on your acre on leash as well.
