Question
Hi,
I live on a big block and my dog is ALWAYS getting out and there seems to be no way to stop her. She will dig her way out or squeeze under things. I take her for regular walks, I don't know why she does this!

Please help!

Answer
Hi Alicia,

Some dogs live for that moment when they outsmart the system. Your dog may be one of those dogs.

The sad reality of an escape artist is that eventually they don't make it home. I would either completely dog proof that yard, literally crawling around on her level to look for opportunities. Or not allow her in the yard unsupervised.

The other thing is to make the yard more interesting try hiding frozen liverwurst balls and training a bit in the yard to redefine what she does what she does when she is back there.
