Question
Hi! I was wondering what it takes to get a dog into therapy work. Can you please explain to me, since I have no clue where to start! Thanks so much!       ~Sarah

Answer
Contact either the Delta Society (deltasociety.org) or one of the TDIs (therapy dog inc or therapy dog international... google them for websites).  They have evaluators in most cities that can evaluate your dog and see if it has the temperament for therapy dog work.  If it does, then they will help you train your dog (if it needs any training) and then certify it.  I'm not all that familiar with any of the programs, but I would think that they would then have suggestions of where you could go to work your dog.
