Question My 5 1/2 month old jack is humping my 3 month old male puppies. Why is she doing this? is she coming onto heat. When do I know to keep them away from each other until she is old enough to bread?
Answer It's most likely that she's exerting her dominance over the younger males.
Quite bluntly, if you don't have enough knowledge to know when your dog is coming into heat or when she is ready to mate, perhaps you should reconsider whether you are fully prepared to breed dogs and be a responsible breeder. There is a lot involved with raising puppies, such as being sure they are properly socialized, the parents have the necessary health clearances, etc.
