Question Hello again, I e-mailed you last PM about my puppy I had to put down.... Could a spider bite cause that kind of reaction? While cleaning this morning and moved the dog house found a brown colored spider and several nest it had laid. I know my baby always laid against the dog house????
Thank you for your help
Answer Hello Marcia, actually that would be unusual. For a spider bite you would have noticed a start area, that would become red and possibly infected. Also instead of your puppy's temperature going down it would go up as the white blood cells would be trying to fight off an infection. Spider bites are not good, but would not give the side effects you described. I hope you do not have to go through this again with another pet, but if you do have them tested for poison. Always, Cindy Lou :(
