I am sorry for your loss. A dog (no matter what size or age) should not be given ibuprofen or any medicine intended for humans. In the future, you should take the dog to the vet--do not play doctor yourself.

i would have to say it is pretty unlikely, my dog (jack rustle terrier cross with dashound) got into a full bottle of 200mg ibuprofenwhen he was prolly a year old (approx 15-20 lbs), eating approx 45 pills - which would total around 9000mg of ibuprofen
he not only did he not die, he is still alive to this day at 12 years old... the carpets on the other hand, DID die, due to his vomiting throughout the ENTIRE house with very acidic vomit.
regardless you should never give a dog human drugs on purpose, our body chemistry is vastly different than a dog, and some things which wont harm a dog could kill us, and some thing which wont hard us could kill a dog: Chocolate for example would be another thing you should never give your dog
