Question hi,
i have a yorkie who is 2 yrs of age, she has had certain shots but needs a few more. my question is, on her first bday, to the day, she went into heat. it has been a yr and amonth since her first heat, and i dont think she had had another. i would have noticed the bleeding i am sure, as with the first heat. can u tell me if this is normal, or is somehing not right about only one heat in two yrs? thank you.

Anything is possible with dogs, but I would check to see if she has a urinary tract infection to make sure everything is ok. If not then, that is probably normal for you dog. You can also get her fertility tested, if you are thinking of breeding her. Contact your vet to see if he will give her a shot to bring her into season. Not always a help, but sometimes
