Question I have a lissi baby doll that was given to me as a present, with a cloth body, polyester filling, and rubber arms, legs and head. It has a number 25 on the back of it's head, and a logo that looks like pliers in a triangle. The label has gold lettering, saying it was handmade in West Germany. It has white bloomers and white dress with pink embroidery. Can anyone enlighten me as to the date the doll was made?

It is going to be very difficult to find out the year your doll was made as Lissi Batz has made hundreds of dolls over the years. A very large number of their dolls would fit your description. Your best bet is to contact the Lissi Batz company via a letter (be sure to include a picture of your doll) and/or a group of Lissi Batz collectors to find out what year you doll was made. Old Lissi Batz catalogs are also a good source of information. Regular searches on eBay, Yahoo and Amazon auction sites may also turn up your doll, or at least inexpensive old catalogs that may have your doll in it.
If there are doll show and sales in your area, take a picture of your doll with you to the show and ask the dealers at the show if they know anything about Lissi Batz dolls - you may run into a dealer who sold that line of dolls the year it came out, collects the dolls themselves or has old catalogs you can look at.
Try searching google or another search engine for Lissi Batz collectors' message boards. Once you find one, sign up and ask about your doll. You'll more than likely need a picture to post with your question to get the info you need. I do not know enough about Lissi Batz dolls to give you the info you need. It may take a while, but with preseverence, you should be able to find the year your doll was made. Good luck! :)
