Domestic Violence - Domestic violence after relationship ends

Expert: Dianne Schwartz - 10/5/2009

Question
How do I stop the violence and isolation since the marriage ended? I was abused during the marriage and then the marriage ended and I was harassed, stalked, threatened and animals killed. I even had an order of protection against her and the police did nothing when she broke in. I thought it was because she wanted me out of my son's life but since I haven't seen him, my brakes were cut, more animals killed, followed, financial problems, house burnt and public isolation. Court system and law enforcement totally believe men are the problem!

Answer
Hi Shawn,

For so long, the justice system didn't believe the women so now, it's gone the other direction.

You have a stalker on your hands and what they want more than anything is attention and if you give them any...I mean any...it feeds them and makes it worse. These people survive on stalking others.

Go to: www.betsyramsey.com    She deals with stalkers and has a ton of informoration for victims of stalking. She also has a small book titled, Stop the Stalker, A Guide for Targets. She's very helpful.

Hope this helps you! She knows what she's talking about.

Best,

Dianne Schwartz
