Question Hi, big Doors and Morrison expert. I've read very little about the very hip and cool shirts and pants Morrison wore in his skinny days. I understand a guy named January Janson might have designed some of his clothes but I'm very interested in knowing how got these clothes and who made them for him. His shirts had a Eastern European peasant shirt look and his non leather pants were pretty cool as well. Could you please clarify this Morrison mystery for me and explain how and where he got these threads? In addition, if you know of a place online or elsewhere that has tried to duplicate this clothing please let me know. Thanks!!
Answer Hello Peter,
I must admit that I do not know much about Jim's clothes, there are so many fakes out there, you have to be careful. I know some of his real threads are in the rock n' roll hall of fame and transferred around different hard rock locations. When I'm not sure about something I always refer people over to the Doors message board, the people there know everything, including some of Jim's old friends. They are very nice, and don't mind answering questions about him. So go on over and ask them, you will definitely get a response.
Thanks,
Elizabeth
