Doors, The (Jim Morrison) - Doors Bootleg Questions...

Question
"The New Haven Incident" when he's arrested on stage and the Doors final performance with Jim (12-2-70?), are bootlegs of those concerts NOT available?
I have searched far and wide and have come up empty handed.

Answer
Michael.

I have asked around regarding a copy of The Doors - New Haven concert ( on the evening of December 9th 1967) with a few contacts and the best I can offer is this.

mailto:erniesandoval@hotmail.com

Ernie Sandoval send him an email and he might,,,just might have an idea of where you would obtain a copy if one is available.

Hope you find it there man and enjoy when you do.

Regards,

JD

Thanks for the Q. Firstly let me correct you on a couple of things with respect.

The Doors final live appearance occurred on December 12th 1970 at the "Warehouse" in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was during this performance that Jim apparently had a break down on stage whilst the band was promoting the upcoming LA Woman album. He gave up during mid song, suddenly slammed the mike” into the stage floor causing it some damage, sat down and refused to play on. Following that The Doors decided it was for the best that they did not perform live again, Jim and Pam Courzon then moved to Paris in the early part of 1971. The rest as they say is history.

New Haven was a misunderstanding on all accounts. Jim hooked up with a teenage girl in the dressing rooms back stage and was sprung by a cop who escalated the situation by wanting to arrest him on a misdemeanor charge. He abused the cops verbally on stage leading to the cancelation of the gig and he being led off stage by police.

Regarding your question about a bootleg copy of that concert. That is a tough one and apart from LimeWire or Win MX search engines etc I do not know if there is any available copy of the concert. Bootlegs are of course illegal and infringe copy right. I will ask a couple of people I know who were connected to The Doors at the time if they know. If I have any luck I’ll send you a private flag message.

Hope I can help you there

Cheers,
