I have heard rumors of a proposed release of Dr Katz on DVD.  I have signed the online petition but I can't find news of a release.  Heard anything?

To my knowledge there is no release date as of yet for "Dr. Katz," and my knowledge extends through November.  There is, however, a release date of November 16 for another great Soup2Nuts (the company which produced "Dr. Katz") animated program, "Home Movies," which is strange.  As much as I like "Home Movies" (and the rest of Cartoon Planet's Adult Swim block) it most certainly doesn't have the cult following of "Dr. Katz."  Does it?  I've decided to look at the release of "Home Movies" as a good sign, however, for a possible release date for "Dr. Katz."  It's success may provide a catalyst for a "Katz" release.

The biggest tip that I can give you to help you follow the release date of certain TV shows is to frequent the web site tvshowsondvd.com.  It truly is a great web site, and I'm certain that whenever a press release is issued for Dr. Katz or even whenever some guy associated with the show writes a release date down in his personal blog, tvshowsondvd.com will report it expeditiously.  They are that good.
