AboutTony Hansen Expertise Wow! I can answer "all" or "anything" about Dr. Katz. For example, do you want to know who spent the most time on Dr. Katz`s couch? I can tell you. Do you want to know how many African American`s sat with the good doctor? I can tell you. I can tell you which comedian said what to whom at what time in what episode. I can tell you about the personal life of Ben, or Laura, or Stan, or Todd. Admittedly, there may be questions of minutiae that I don`t know, but I can attempt to look up anything that you need.
Experience I have seen every episode of Dr. Katz numerous times and have every episode on tape. I also have followed the careers of the show's creators Tom Snyder and Jonathan Katz and I also know a great deal about the stand-up comics that graced Dr. Katz's couch. To help me, I have a fairly detailed episode guide.
Education/Credentials Like Ben, I'm the type of person that leads the contemplative life.
Question Who were the guest commedians for
the last 3 eposides of Dr Katz
which were the only shows unaired on television?
Answer I'm sorry for the lack of promptness in responding to your e-mail. To be honest with you, I don't receive many questions these days (which is sad) so checking my e-mail hasn't been a top priority.
But I'm excited about your question regarding the unaired ("Canadian aired") episodes. To be honest with you, I have yet to see these episodes as I haven't had the ambitious get-up-and-go to buy/burn them off the internet. But if you believe that it's true that the best episodes have the best comedians (which I, myself, don't exactly believe) then these unaired episodes must be quite special.
To begin, the first unaired episode, titled "Bakery Ben," includes comedians Dave Attell and Catherine O'Hara. Next, "Uncle Nothing" includes comedians Kevin Brennan and Louis C.K. Finally, episode "Lerapy" enlists the talents of Conan O'Brien and Whoopi Goldberg.
It's quite a list, indeed. In particular, Dave Attell, Louis C.K., and Conan O'Brien are favorites of mine, and I would be interested to see how Catherine O'Hara's skill with improvisation affects the show (to be sure, usually non-stand up entertainers struggle in the environment of "Dr. Katz") I don't know much about Kevin Brennan (I think he used to write for the original Saturday Night Live) so his segment is a bit of a wild card. As for Whoopi, well . . . I'm not a fan.
I think that's all I have for you. Thanks again for the question.
