Question
Hello,

I need some help understanding this dream I had last night. I have been searching all day to find an answer. It is a 2 part dream where I remember waking up in the middle and going back to sleep. I hope you can shed some light on what it all means. I will try to make sense and I type it out here for you.

Part 1
I am at Disney World with the wife and kids, we are in front of a large field (this is not really there in real life) with a large tree in the distance to my left. My wife mentions a low flying airline that looks like it is about to crash but it gains altitude finally. I look to my left past the large tree and there are 2 more airlines in what looks like a low flight pattern. They are both trying to gain altitude. The first one pulls up and makes it over the tree however it crashes past me to the right further down the field. The 2nd plane pulls up but ends up crashing into the plane and falls pretty much right in front of me. Everyone begins to panic and starts running and screaming.

This is when I wake up.

I fall back asleep and start the same dream over. Except this time I am aware of what is going to happen. I am completely calm. We are standing in the same place in the field. I get out the camera because I want to capture photos of the planes crashing. I witness the planes crashing while taking photos...still completely calm. I am not scare at all. People around me are still in a panic screaming but I have a overwhelming sense of calmness inside. Like I was at peace. I over heard someone say it was the aliens and then I heard someone else say it was Gabriel the angel of death. I take a small step backwards to line up another photo and I step on something. I look down and there is a dead angel...Only thing left was just the skeleton. The wings were just a bone frame of a wing, much like what a dragon fly wing looks like where you can see the frame. This was Gabriel. So I think wow proof of an angel, I begin to take pictures of the skeleton. My wife and kids and I then start to walk off discussing if we are going home or somewhere else.

Upon getting up this morning and all morning I had an over whelming sense of calmness inside me. Its really hard to explain like I was numb inside had no pain, no worries, nothing. I still have this sense of peace inside.

I hope this made sense and hope you can make something from it. Everything I can find about Gabriel is he is a messenger of God and is usually a good thing, but nothing mentions if I see him dead which is really bothering me.

Thank you,
Tom

Answer
Good morning, Tom.

The first part of your dream - the one in which all the fear takes place - is not too difficult to comprehend.  You are with loved ones in what is generally known as the happiest place on earth, yet are surrounded by terror and death.  Airplanes that crash on takeoff can refer to plans that don't get off the ground.  These events can have a financial meaning, if we related the planes to the stock market.  Furthermore, airliners crashing have special significance for Americans around this time of year.  Basically, you are dreaming of great loss, fear, and worry, at a time when you should feel happy and safe.

The second part of this dream - when you go back in and feel calm - is an attempt to put perspective on the events around you.  Yes, the planes are crashing, and people are dying, and everyone else is afraid - but because you know what will happen - you know that you and your family will not be harmed - you can remain calm and take pictures.  You are more of a witness than a victim.  I believe that this signifies that you have been worried about things that you cannot change, and that do not directly affect you anyway.  You have been given a revelation that you do not have to worry.

I find it interesting that you chose Gabriel as the dead angel.  By definition, all angels are messengers - this is what the word "angel" means.  Gabriel in particular is said to possess the trumpet with which he will herald the end of the world.  To have this angel die in your dream is a direct message that your world is NOT ending, nor will it anytime soon.

Pleasant dreams,

Peregrin
