Subject: Creating a PhotoGallery in Dreamweaver w/o Fireworks

Question
I need to create a photo album in Dreamweaver but when i try to do it
through the Command Menu "Create Web Photo Album" it tells me that I have
to have Fireworks 4 or later in order to be able to do this.  THe problem with
that is that the program is $300.00 and there is not a downloadable trial
version available.

How can I create a photo album with out using Fireworks??
Curious.
THanks,
J.D.

Answer
Hi John,

I wish I had better news, but having Fireworks is the only way that I know of to use the Command Menu: Create Web Photo Album function (which is great by the way, I use it all the time).  I cannot believe that they do not have a trial of Fireworks!  Are you sure? Might want to re-check this. I have found that googling for applications with the words 'OEM version' has brought up some sites that offer a version of the application that is much more reasonable than the manufacturer's full version. In all honestly, I do not know how legit these versions are but I have used them in the past without issue or conflict with my full blown applications.  If the only thing you need Fireworks for is to use a function in Dreamweaver, an OEM version might be a good solution for you.

Hope that helps.
