Drums & Percussion/E-Drums
I just have electric drums (Roland) and my sister has electric guitar. I was told to connect both of them with a microphone, then i need a PA system. Is that true? Also do you have suggestions of good PA that suits e-drums and e-guitar with range 200 to 250 euros, please???
God bless you
ANSWER: You were told wrong.
The Roland electronic drums have a "direct out" output jack that
connects the drums to a PA system.
This will be a 1/4 inch cable.
Read your owners manual--it will tell you what you need.
The guitar had an output jack that will go directly into the PA.
This will be a 1/4 inch cable also.
I am afraid that you will not be able to buy much with 250 euros.
You will need speaker cabinets that have either heavy duty 12 inch speakers or 15 inch speakers.
The kick drum will produce a lot of low end frequencies and have a lot of attack.
If you look around, you might be able to find a good used PA system.
BUT--WHATEVER YOU GET, THE DRUMS AND GUITAR WILL HAVE TO BE USED AT A LOWER VOLUME--
OTHERWISE YOU WILL BLOW THE SPEAKERS.
Hope this helps.

QUESTION: Hello Mike,
Thank you so much for your answer and care.
Well, if i need a good used PA, then what brands and models do you suggest, please?
Also, I understand from you that I need a large speaker with the PA, is there a good brands and models for that?
I also found online 2 new models within my budget but i am so confused which one would suit my e-drums and e-guitar, can you take a look and tell me what do you think, please?
Thank you so much and i do appreciate your help.
There are too many brands and models to try suggesting what you should buy.
Read the owners manual and that should tell you what would work.
Go to local music stores and tsalk to someone in the PA department.
You are NOT going to find a PA system that is new for your budget, so you need to look for something used.
Both of those systems would be OK for the guitar, but not for the e-drums.
As I said befor, the kick drum would blow both of those speakers up.
Look around online--there probably are websites that deal specifically with e-drums and e-guitars.
