Drunk Driving - how many drinks does it take to be legally drunk

Expert: Terence A. Russell - 5/16/2003

Question
For an adult male- 6ft tall and 200lbs roughly how many drinks would it take to be considered legally drunk?

Answer
Hi Martha,

There are factors other than gender and weight that can vary results. Additionally, the legal BAC limit is .10 in some areas and .08 in others. There is good information to be found here: http://www.lanecc.edu/cops/lccprvnt.htm#calculate

I hope this assists you.
